2010 Walnut, CA
April 17, 2010.
After about a month between the indoor and outdoor seasons and working in a new approach along the way, I opened the 2010 outdoor season at the Mt. Sac Relays. I was looking to hit 17m in my debut and although I missed out on that by 8 centimeters, I’m mostly satisfied with what was my best season opener (and 2nd best performance) ever. The jump itself has so much wrong with it that I’m anxious to get to work on fixing things!
2009 Berlin
August 16, 2009.
This was the qualifying round and with about 23 people in each flight my goal was to hit the automatic qualifying mark (17.10m) on my first jump. I came close, and my first jump was by far my best jump, but it was unfortunately a foul.
2009 USATF Club Nationals
July 10, 2009.
This was my last jump of the meet and in essence my last chance to qualify for the World Championships. I’d set a marginal personal best prior to this jump so I knew that I could hit the “B” standard of 16.65m with a just little more effort. The crowd and teammate support definitely helped out a great deal!
